Privacy Policy Regarding the Use of Armagard.com
We are committed to keeping your details private and only collect and use information in accordance with the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation. We do not release your details to third parties, except when required by law. We will take appropriate steps to protect your privacy.
Your right to privacy is very important. We recognize that when you choose to provide us with information about yourself, you trust us to act in a responsible manner. That's why we have put a policy in place to protect your personal information.
As a condition of enquiring via an Armagard website (as detailed below), you consent to the relevant terms and conditions as described in this privacy policy, which may be updated periodically.
How We Collect Your Information
During the lead-registration process and for account management, our enquiry forms require the user to provide their first name, last name, company name, email address, phone number, and message. We use the form’s customer contact information to immediately follow-up with the customer about their enquiry, and we will use it for future sales communications/updates if needed.
Upon completion of this form, you have consented to us contacting you for the reasons below, based upon legitimate interest in our business and products.
Furthermore, any additional information gathered during the discussion of your enquiry (via telephone or email) is treated in the same manner as website form data. If you provide us with an in-situ image or product testimonial, these will be subject to the same usage requirements.
Your information may have also been collected if you visited an Armagard booth at an exhibition, either in the form of a written lead or a barcode scan from your name badge. Armagard will treat this information in the same manner as an enquiry form, as you will have consented to the exchange of information.
How We Use the Information We Collect
Based upon legitimate interest, we process your data to facilitate your enquiry and market our products via email communication, among other methods.
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website. We use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests. In addition, our web servers track information about visits to our websites. For example, we compile statistics that show the daily number of visitors to our sites, time on site, frequency of visits, the daily requests we receive for particular pages on our websites, what countries those requests come from, and any significant data patterns. These aggregated statistics are used internally to better provide services to the public and may also be provided to others, but, again, the statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.
We will not disclose customer names, addresses, or account information to unaffiliated third parties, other than:
- Where the customer requests or consents to disclosure.
- Where we are legally required to do so (e.g. in response to a court or fraud investigation).
- Approved GDPR compliant third party platforms we use for marketing, accounting, sales and different departments, etc.
- Where we have agreed to provide information under negotiated contracts and where the customer has been informed about the possibility of sharing information for specific marketing or other similar purposes through a prior direct communication, after the customer has been given the reasonable opportunity and time to decline.
Payment and Security Information
Credit card details are taken over the phone. Whenever you provide us with sensitive information like this, we will take reasonable steps to protect it. We will also take reasonable security measures to protect your personal information when stored digitally and physically. Your information is transmitted securely to our web servers using SSL, and measures are taken to prevent unauthorized access to this information.
